"Pups For Peace" Will Help Secure Shopping Malls

By  Menachem Rehat, MA'ARIV

Fifteen dogs trained to identify explosives will be soon mobilized to the Israel Police. The dogs will accompany policemen in their patrols at shopping malls, bus stations, and other targets of terrorist attacks.

The dogs are being granted to the Police through an international organization called “Pups for Peace” that supports the training of the dogs to identify explosives and also prepare their handlers as well.

Yesterday, the government decided to allow the police to receive 15 dogs and to allocate to the police a special budget to accelerate training those policemen paired with these dogs and advance their deployment in security operations.
